The Return of DJ Dub Pilot After a twenty year hiatus, DJ Dub Pilot returns with a three hour set at Unity Center. In Savannah Georgia I ran a four hour radio program at Savannah State University, the first Black College in Georgia. For six years I hosted the PUSH show with a freeform format. Acid Jazz, Indie Rock, Neoclassical, Classic Rock, Noise, Improv, Drum and Bass, and many other types of music were mixed and various guest DJs and bands made appearances. When I spent a summer in NYC as sound designer for an off Broadway production I was honored that Ike Carter, head of the station and president of the Coastal Jazz Association, sat in for my program and played an equally eclectic mix of music. For the Unity Center event I'll be focusing on heavily rhythmic music suitable for dancing from many genres, and will build the intensity to the final hour of Drum and Bass and Jungle music. There will be light refreshments available. The event is sliding scale with no one turned away for lack of funds. All proceeds will be split 50/50 with the Unity Center. The event is all ages but will not be offering daycare downstairs.
